Can I just live here?

Woke up this morning in foggy San Francisco.

Thought to myself, if I could live anywhere, where would that be?

My mind scanned over different cities, the country with a garden, so far off the grid that even I couldn't imagine and then thought....can I just live here?

Ann's Drums

Whenever I have some free time, I like to jump in my truck and head north.

On my last trip, I stopped by to visit a new friend of mine, Ann. Though, I have to admit she feels more like an old friend. There is simply a comfort level between us that I can't quite explain in words.

What first attracted me to Ann were her drums. All of them handmade, mostly from Elk hide, but all with love. I knew right away I wanted to use one in a photo shoot. And I finally did.

It's a little blurry in the shot above, but it's there on the left. Below is a behind the scene photo of all of us prepping the drum for the shot.

I Heart New York

This is the Elizabeth Street Gallery.

It's an outdoor gallery that I like to walk by when I'm in NoLita.

Makes my eyes happy.

In The Bag

In a little boutique in the West Village is where I first stumbled across Jessica Moriber's bag line, Pollux Handmade.

It was love at first sight. These bags become individual pieces of artwork as each one is hand cut and stitched. Anything made with so much care and attention I will support. Just wanted to share.

Hick at Heart

If I could do anything today....

I would magically fix my brother's old Ford.

Take it to an open field and drive like a maniac.

And laugh, laugh, laugh!
